When the problem can be assessed visually, with a short check or by lifting the car on the lift.
Good to know: clearing a fault code does not fix the fault itself. If the cause is still there, the fault code or warning light usually comes back.
Prices include VAT at 25.5%.
Basic reading and professional diagnostics – what is the difference?
These days fault codes can be read with almost any cheap OBD reader – the interpretation is not always accurate, but it does show the codes. That is why basic reading is a simple and inexpensive job for us. The value comes from what happens next.

A fault code does not always mean a faulty part
A fault code tells you in which system a deviation has been detected – but not always which part needs replacing.
- a sensor fault code can be caused by the sensor, the wiring, a connector, the supply voltage or another fault in the system
- reading the fault codes alone is not the same as full diagnostics of the car
- if the code does not reveal the cause, we continue with diagnostics – we agree on it first
